Edmond Police Department Announces Plans for Officer Down Memorial

Edmond, OK – July 20, 2023 – The Edmond Police Department is proud to announce the forthcoming purchase of the Edmond Police Officer’s Memorial to honor the life and bravery of police officers who give the ultimate sacrifice for our community. The decision to acquire this memorial comes as part of our ongoing commitment to commemorate Edmond’s fist line of duty death, Sergeant C.J. Nelson who was killed on his patrol motorcycle, on July 19, 2022.

The purchase of the Memorial will be made possible through the generous contributions from, local businesses, private citizens, and various organizations. Those who wish to donate to can contact the Edmond Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (ECPAAA) at www.wesupportedmondpd.org.

You can submit your tax deductible contribution to the Edmond Police Officer Memorial by using the below form. Checks should be sent to the ECPAAA. Once you have submitted your form, the ECPAAA will contact you about your donation.

You may also use the ECPAAA Venmo QR Code to make a direct donation to the Edmond Officer’s Memorial by scanning the QR with your smart phone. This will make a direct deposit from your Venmo account to the ECPAAA for the memorial.
