ARTICLE I – NAME

The name of this organization shall be the “Edmond Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (ECPAAA)”.

 

ARTICLE II – MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of the ECPAAA is to increase public support of the Edmond Police Department; improve relations between the public and the Edmond Police Department; and educate the public about the function and role of the Citizens Police Academy.

 

ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP

Only graduates of the Edmond Citizen Police Academy will be considered for membership along with retired members of the Edmond Police Department.

 

ARTICLE IX – CHIEF OF POLICE

The Chief of Police of the Edmond Police Department shall have exclusive approval authority for any activity approved by the ECPAAA, that could directly or indirectly, be interpreted by the general public, as an activity sanctioned by the Edmond Police Department or the City of Edmond. The Chief of Police may appoint a liaison Police Officer to serve in an advisory position to the ECPAAA.

The ECPAAA is an Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 509 Public Charity exempt from Federal tax under IRC Section 501(c)(3). Donors may be able to deduct contributions made to the ECPAAA (please see your tax consultant).

ARTICLE I – NAME

The name of this organization shall be the “Edmond Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (ECPAAA)”.

ARTICLE II – MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of the ECPAAA is to increase public support of the Edmond Police Department; improve relations between the public and the Edmond Police Department; and educate the public about the function and role of the Citizens Police Academy.

 

ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP

Section 1: The membership shall consist of an elected Board who will make suggestions to membership. Certain items will require total membership vote. Only graduates of the Edmond Citizen Police Academy will be considered for membership along with retired members of the Edmond Police Department.

ARTICLE IX – CHIEF OF POLICE

The Chief of Police of the Edmond Police Department shall have exclusive approval authority for any activity approved by the ECPAAA, that could directly or indirectly, be interpreted by the general public, as an activity sanctioned by the Edmond Police Department or the City of Edmond.
